Septic Solutions: An Introduction

I recently bought a house with a septic tank for the very first time. I thought I was prepared, but I really had no idea what I was getting into. Shortly after we moved in, the septic tank backed up. I had to call for emergency septic services to have it pumped and taken care of. That's when I learned that I had overlooked some of the signs that the tank needed to be emptied. I created this site to share my experience and the tips that I learned along the way. My goal is to help others avoid the same septic problems that I have dealt with.

Planning A Large Neighborhood Party? Get Bathrooms And Garbage Options Fast

by Camila Pena

Planning a neighborhood party can be a lot of fun, but you want to be sure that you have all the necessary amenities in place. If you are hosting a neighborhood party in one area of your subdivision and this is an open area that the HOA is most responsible for, it's important to be respectful of the area.

There are a few things that you want to have ready to go before the party, so that people aren't using people's houses or other facilities. Consider arranging these in advance.

Portable Toilet

No one wants all of the neighborhood folk going into their homes when there is a party, just because their houses are the closest to the party location. Instead, get the cost to have one or two portable toilets dropped off for the event.

The company can give you a 24-hour contract to have the toilets, and will be responsible for dropping the toilet off and picking it back up. Talk with the party organizers to figure out where the best location will be for the restroom before the big event.

Tent

If you don't want people putting up multiple small tents and potentially damaging the grassy area, put one large tent in the area where the party will be. Everyone can bring their chairs and coolers and set up there. This also prevents having multiple tents that get left behind the next day, or everyone having to set up and take down while the party is going on.

Garbage Cans

You don't want trash and garbage floating around your neighborhood, and you don't want to be trying to tie bags to things. Instead, get some boxes or cans that you can set up that won't blow away and are easy to fill. This way you can keep the general area clean, and you don't have to rely on everyone to get rid of their own garbage.

Planning a party can be a lot of responsibility, but if you are collecting money from people, you want to be sure that you are providing them with the amenities that are available and that you will need to keep the property clean. Talk with the portable restroom rental company to see if they offer any type of trash removal service as well so you can get the trash picked up at the same time as the toilets are drained and removed.
